Copyright and Permissions
How original Five C Theory materials may be quoted, shared, reproduced, translated, adapted, or licensed.
Last updated August 6, 2026
Ownership and protected material
Unless another credit is shown, the original text, book material, framework expression, official Five C emblem and diagrams, website copy, photographs, designs, worksheets, guides, presentations, audio, video, podcast material, and downloadable resources on this site are protected by copyright and related rights held by Bhai-Dhawa Sesay and/or administered by Leone Connect Publishing.
Copyright protects original expression, not facts, public ideas, or independent discussion of culture, corruption, citizenship, contentment, and complacency. The policy does not prevent lawful criticism, scholarship, news reporting, commentary, or independent analysis.
Links and ordinary sharing
You may link to public pages, share the site’s public share links, cite the work, and direct others to an authorized download page. Do not copy an entire page, file, chapter, image library, or protected download to another website, drive, platform, or message group when a link will serve the purpose.
Short quotations
Limited quotation may be permitted by law for purposes such as criticism, commentary, teaching, scholarship, or news reporting. Use only what the purpose reasonably requires, preserve the meaning, identify the author and source, and link to the public source when available.
There is no universal number of words or percentage that automatically makes a quotation lawful. Context, purpose, amount, market effect, and applicable law all matter. When the use is extensive, commercial, repeated, central to a new product, or likely to substitute for the original, request permission.
Longer passages, substantial excerpts, and chapters
Written permission is required to reproduce a chapter, substantial excerpt, extended sequence of quotations, full article, worksheet collection, transcript, or other material beyond what applicable law independently permits. This includes anthology, newsletter, magazine, website, app, database, book, report, exhibition, conference, and event-program use.
Courses and classroom use
Ordinary classroom discussion and links to open pages are welcome. Permission or an educational license is required for course packs, copied chapters, LMS uploads, e-reserves, shared digital files, repeated institutional distribution, workshop handouts, or commercial training. See Educational Licensing.
Translations and adaptations
Translating protected text, adapting the theory into a book, curriculum, performance, documentary, course, game, software product, assessment, training system, or other derivative work requires advance written permission unless applicable law clearly provides otherwise. A translation or adaptation must not be presented as official, authorized, or endorsed without a written grant.
Five C emblem, graphic, and visual identity
The official emblem, interlocking Five C graphic, book cover, diagrams, and branded visual system may not be redrawn, recolored, separated, animated, distorted, placed on merchandise, used as an organizational logo, or incorporated into an unofficial publication without written permission. Approved media use follows the separate Media Usage Policy.
Audio, video, podcast, and performance rights
Recording, rebroadcasting, clipping, synchronizing, dramatizing, performing, narrating, or adapting protected audio, video, interview, event, or book material may require separate rights. Sharing an authorized link or embedded player does not grant ownership or republication rights.
Organizational and institutional licensing
Organizations, schools, universities, government bodies, nonprofits, businesses, facilitators, consultants, conferences, and civic programs should request a license for systematic copying, staff or participant distribution, branded use, paid training, translation, adaptation, or repeated program use. A purchased copy does not itself create an organizational license.
Attribution
Unless a written grant specifies another credit, identify the work as The Five C Theory, name Bhai-Dhawa Sesay as author, and identify Leone Connect Publishing as publisher. Include the page, chapter, edition, or public URL where reasonably possible. Attribution does not replace permission when permission is required.
Requests and written grants
Submit the exact material, intended use, format, territory, language, audience, quantity or reach, access model, term, release date, organization, and proposed credit through Rights and Permissions. A request, receipt, discussion, or draft agreement does not grant a license. Permission exists only in a separate written grant that identifies the approved material and scope.
Reporting unauthorized use
Use Contact and Support to report suspected unauthorized copying or misuse. Provide the public URL, material involved, and reason for concern. Do not submit passwords, private identity records, or confidential evidence through an ordinary form.
