Before reading

Name the question that brought you to the book and the loyalties or assumptions that may shape your reading.

  • Choose a private place for notes and evidence.
  • Commit to applying the same standard to allies and opponents.
  • Review discussion safeguards before using personal or institutional examples.

Read each part actively

For every C, protect its strength, identify its danger, connect it carefully to another force and name a possible interruption.

  • Separate what you know from what you suspect.
  • Record practical examples without exposing confidential information.
  • Do not force an example to fit every C.

After reading

Leave with a clearer question, a fairer standard and a disciplined next step.

  • State one idea you now understand differently.
  • Name one standard you will apply more consistently.
  • Choose one realistic follow-through date.
