Five C Reading Checklist
A before, during and after-reading companion for questions, evidence and follow-through.
Before reading
Name the question that brought you to the book and the loyalties or assumptions that may shape your reading.
- Choose a private place for notes and evidence.
- Commit to applying the same standard to allies and opponents.
- Review discussion safeguards before using personal or institutional examples.
Read each part actively
For every C, protect its strength, identify its danger, connect it carefully to another force and name a possible interruption.
- Separate what you know from what you suspect.
- Record practical examples without exposing confidential information.
- Do not force an example to fit every C.
After reading
Leave with a clearer question, a fairer standard and a disciplined next step.
- State one idea you now understand differently.
- Name one standard you will apply more consistently.
- Choose one realistic follow-through date.
